Growing Together in Worship, Prayer, and Faith

Each week, Spanish River Christian School comes together as a community to worship, pray, study God’s Word, and grow in our relationship with Jesus. Chapel is a meaningful part of the spiritual life of our school—a time when students are reminded of their dependence on Christ and encouraged to trust Him, follow Him, and apply biblical truth to their daily lives.

Through worship, prayer, Scripture, and biblical teaching, students are given opportunities to practice spiritual disciplines that help strengthen their faith. Chapel invites them to pause from the normal rhythm of the school day, turn their attention toward God, listen for His truth, respond in worship, and pray for one another, our community, and the world.

Our students play an active role in leading chapel. Elementary classes share meaningful biblical messages and lift their voices in songs of praise, while Middle School students lead prayer and worship before hearing a message grounded in Scripture. These opportunities help students grow in confidence, humility, service, and Christian leadership as they use their gifts to point others toward Jesus.

Throughout the year, we also gather for special combined chapels that unite our school in powerful moments of worship, prayer, celebration, and community. These shared experiences remind students that they are part of a larger body of believers who rely on Christ and encourage one another in faith.

Our Preschool students enjoy a chapel experience designed especially for them—one that introduces God’s love, biblical truth, worship, and prayer in a joyful, engaging, and age-appropriate way. It is a beautiful opportunity for our youngest learners to begin developing spiritual habits and building a foundation of faith that can grow for years to come.

Our prayer is that this time will help every student and guest draw closer to Jesus and leave encouraged to live out their faith.
