Preschool at SRCS is the first step in a joyful journey of discovery. In our nurturing, age-appropriate, and technology-enhanced environment, children are inspired to explore, grow, and develop the foundational skills they need for Kindergarten and beyond—all while building a strong faith in Christ.

Preschoolers at SRCS begin each morning with prayer and devotion, participate in weekly chapel services, memorize Scripture, and joyfully sing Bible songs—building a strong spiritual foundation that will guide them for years to come.

Technology-Enhanced Learning

Each classroom is equipped with state-of-the-art educational tools to enhance student engagement and support individualized learning. These include:

  • An interactive projector

  • A classroom computer

  • A document camera

  • A set of iPads for hands-on exploration

We also maintain digital portfolios for every student, capturing their progress in key areas such as patterning, letter recognition, auditory learning, and storytelling.

SRCS is proud to offer the innovative Letters Alive augmented reality curriculum, which brings literacy to life. This immersive experience allows children to explore animals from around the world while reinforcing letter-sound relationships using interactive rugs, habitat cards, and journals.

Core Curriculum

The Preschool program at Spanish River Christian School is thoughtfully designed to support the whole child through a developmentally appropriate, hands-on learning approach. Our curriculum emphasizes exploration, creativity, and foundational skill-building through engaging materials, interactive activities, and meaningful experiences.

Children are guided through a variety of focus areas, including:

  • Reading Readiness – Early literacy skills through stories, phonemic awareness, and letter recognition

  • Math Concepts – Number sense, patterns, shapes, and basic problem-solving

  • Motor Development – Activities that promote both gross and fine motor skills

  • Social Development – Building friendships, cooperation, and emotional awareness

  • Language – Vocabulary growth, listening comprehension, and expressive communication

  • Art & Music – Creative expression through visual arts and musical exploration
