The SRCS Library is available to teachers and students throughout the school day. Whether you're conducting research, checking out a great book, or taking an Accelerated Reader test, the Library is here to support your learning journey.
Accelerated Reader Program
Accelerated Reader (AR) is an interactive reading management program designed to motivate and monitor student reading. At SRCS, students in grades 1 through 5 can choose from a library of over 100,000 high-quality, age-appropriate titles on the Accelerated Reader book list.
After reading a selected book, students complete a brief, computer-based quiz to assess comprehension. These quizzes provide valuable feedback to both students and teachers through detailed progress reports.
Parents can stay connected by visiting Renaissance Home Connect to explore available AR books and track their child's AR points and progress.
The SRCS Book Fair
Every Fall, SRCS hosts its much-anticipated Annual Book Fair—a week-long celebration of reading for students and families alike! With a wide selection of books and educational materials available, there’s something for every reader to enjoy.
Classroom Visits:
All students will have the opportunity to visit the Book Fair during the school day with their classes.
Family Shopping:
The fair is also open after school for parents and visitors throughout the week.
Giving Back:
25% of all proceeds go directly toward improving and expanding the SRCS Library’s collection and resources.

The Perfect Gift.
The Birthday Book Club is an opportunity for families to dedicate a new book in our library to their children. Library Birthday Books will be commemorated with a special nameplate and are presented to the child to check out on or near their birthday. Books remain a part of our collection of books for all students to check out. The Birthday Book Club form is linked below. The form should be completed and returned two weeks prior to the student's birthday along with a $15 payment.
