Music to Our Ears
Music Specials | Preschool through 4th Grade
The SRCS music curriculum, Musicplay, is an award-winning, sequential program used from preschool through 4th grade.
Lessons are taught weekly in either our state-of-the-art Performing Arts Room or dedicated Music Room.
Introduces new musical concepts and reinforces previous one
Incorporates classroom percussion instruments at all levels
Instills a love for worship
Celebrates musical creativity
Engages students with seasonal and holiday repertoire
Preschool students participate in fun circle time focused on worship and musical fundamentals
3rd graders begin learning pre-band instruments such as the recorder
Band | 5th Grade through Middle School
The SRCS Band program nurtures students’ musical talents while instilling discipline, teamwork, and a love for glorifying God through music. Beginning in 5th grade and continuing through middle school, students grow in both skill and confidence.
5th Grade Band
Group rehearsals twice a week and sectionals once a week
Introduction to instrument technique and music theory
Performances include the Christmas Program and Fine Arts Chapel
Middle School Concert Band
Builds on foundational skills from 5th Grade Band
Expands repertoire and performance opportunities (Christmas Program, Pep-Rallies, Fine Arts Chapel)
Helps students develop and refine musical gifts for God’s glory
Singing Out Loud.
Students who love to sing can grow their vocal skills and confidence through our choral opportunities, beginning in 2nd grade and continuing through middle school.
Chapel Choir (Grades 2–4)
Optional group that rehearses weekly during recess
Performs at various elementary chapels throughout the year
Beginning Chorus (Grade 5)
Rehearses twice a week
Focuses on harmony, solfege, dynamic expression, and proper rehearsal skills
Performs at Christmas Program, chapels, and special events
Middle School Chorus
Rehearses twice a week with sectional instruction
Emphasizes vocal production, sight-reading, rhythm, and performance skills
Regular performances at school-wide events, chapels, and holiday programs
Divine Works of Art
At SRCS, we believe that creativity is a divine gift. Our Art Department nurtures that gift from preschool through 8th grade in a Christ-centered environment.
Students explore a wide range of materials, styles, and cultural influences inside our newly build Art Studio that includes a brand new kiln.
Instruction is project- and skill-based, designed to foster confidence and creative growth
Art is displayed campus-wide and at special events throughout the year
Featured student artwork is exhibited at the Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC), located at 4950 Communication Ave, Boca Raton, FL. The BRiC exhibition is open for public viewing year-round.

Private Music Lessons
Available for Kindergarten through 8th grade, our private and group music lessons are offered year-round:
Instruments: Piano, violin, and all concert band instruments
Length: 30-minute sessions
Cost: $40 (private) / $25 (group)

Lessons are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Our Fine Arts Director will contact you after you submit the form.
Praise Band
Middle School students may audition for the Praise Band, a worship-focused ensemble that leads music during Middle School chapels and selected all-school events. This is a wonderful way for students to serve God with their musical talents.
SRCS’s Got Talent.
Each spring, students have the chance to shine in our Talent Expo. From singing and dancing to gymnastics and musical acts, students of all ages are invited to share their God-given talents. A staff emcee adds fun and humor to this crowd-favorite event.
Christmas Musical
Each December, SRCS kicks off the Christmas season with a joyful celebration of Jesus’ birth through our Christmas Musical.
